Its in a moment of crisis and boris talks we can do this together as a nation that i am being reminded that i really am not a part of it (yet).
Got a text yesterday from my landlord, if i could inform at my local council if i could claim housing benefits. Incase we go in a lockdown so i can still pay my rent. Me being pre-settled and stuff. Cause i need to keep paying it even in a lockdown.
So after phoning them this morning and she did not realise i was pre-setteld was all willing too help and answer my questions. But when she realised i was. It turned quickly cold and unwilling too help. But the answer is no. They can’t and wont help. I am a grey area.
So i need to pay taxes and everything else what not. Need to work every day. Pay for a exspensive comprehensive sickness insurance every month. Just so i am not a burden on the NHS. Be a productive member of society. That just in a moment of crisis i am being reminded. You are not part of this country yet….
Brexit on Amazon
I just googled there are 1.9 million people who have pre-setteld status.
