Jo Swinson has been elected the new leader of the Liberal Democrats, taking over from Vince Cable, winning 47,997 votes against Ed Davey's 28,021. During her victory speech in London, Swinson spoke about 'the catastrophe of Brexit', as well as making a dig at likely prime minister Boris Johnson, saying: 'Britain deserves better'
